Outline of This Research Project

In order to realize weather control, it is necessary to solve the bottleneck that the actuator location to maximize the weather control effects is unknown. In this project, we will organize, develop, and evaluate methods for actuator location optimization. Simulation experiments will show that using the actuator location obtained by the developed method improves the control effects.

Research Project 1: Development of Actuator Location Optimization Algorithm and Its Application to Modeling and Weather Problems

We will use our work in the field of sensor optimization (see below) to implement an actuator location optimization algorithm. We will develop a problem to validate the actuator location optimization algorithm and show that the optimized actuator location improves control efficiency.

Research Project 2: Mathematical Problem Formulation for Actuator Location Optimization

The mathematical structure of the objective function is clarified and optimized by the actuator location optimization algorithm.

Research Project 3: Development of An Evaluation Method for Optimized Actuator Location Based on Weather Simulation

We design the parameters of a weather simulation problem to validate the actuator location optimization algorithm.
