Our laboratory welcomes anyone interested in experimental measurements of fluid phenomena, numerical simulations, data-driven science, and their applications to fluid dynamics!
We are open to consultations about research from within and outside our university, other universities, and institutions. Please feel free to contact Prof. Nonomura (taku.nonomura[at_mk]mae.nagoya-u.ac.jp) at any time.
We also welcome visitors to our laboratory.
For Students Interested in Research
For Undergraduate Students: If you wish to conduct research in our laboratory as an undergraduate student, please enroll in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Nagoya University. In your fourth year, during the laboratory assignment process, choose the Fluid Dynamics Research Group under the Aerodynamics and Propulsion Course of the Aerospace Engineering Program. The department’s laboratory orientation is held at the end of the third year (typically between February and March), so please attend it.
For Graduate Students: If you wish to conduct research in our laboratory as a graduate student, please enroll in the Master’s or Doctoral Program of the Department of Aerospace Engineering at the Graduate School of Engineering, Nagoya University, and choose the Fluid Dynamics Research Group under the Aerodynamics and Propulsion Course as your preferred laboratory. We also actively accept working professionals pursuing a doctoral degree, so please feel free to consult with us. The graduate school entrance examination orientation is held at the end of the academic year (typically between February and March), and a laboratory tour is also conducted on the same day, so please participate. For more details, please refer to the department’s entrance examination guide.
For Postdocs Interested in Research
Becoming a JSPS Research Fellow: Our laboratory accepts JSPS Research Fellows (PD). If you are interested in joining as a JSPS Research Fellow, please feel free to consult with us.
Becoming a Designated Assistant Professor or Postdoctoral Researcher at Nagoya University: There are opportunities to hire postdoctoral researchers through research projects funded by grants such as KAKENHI. Please consult with us for available positions. Currently, we are recruiting designated assistant professors for research under the Moonshot Research and Development Program.
